All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.

Os filhos do outro Elão, mil, duzentos e cinqüenta e quatro:

De Harim, Adna; de Meraiote, Helcai;

And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand [on guard], let them shut the doors, and bar ye them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one [to be] over against his house.

Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, [and] they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

Os filhos de Pasur, mil e duzentos e quarenta e sete.

E o restante do povo, os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, os servidores do templo, todos os que se tinham separado dos povos das terras para a lei de Deus, suas mulheres, seus filhos e suas filhas, todos os que tinham conhecimento e entendimento,

Os homens de Bete-Azmavete, quarenta e dois.

O povo da tribo de Benjamim vivia em: Geba, Micmás, Aija, Betel (e as aldeias circunvizinhas), Anatote, Nobe, Ananias, Hazor, Ramá, Gitaim, Hadide, Zeboim, Nebalate, Lode, Ono (o vale do Artífices).
