Números 18:2

E também farás chegar contigo a teus irmãos, a tribo de Levi, a tribo de teu pai, para que se ajuntem a ti, e te sirvam; mas tu e teus filhos contigo estareis perante a tenda do testemunho.

Traga também os seus irmãos levitas, que pertencem à tribo de seus antepassados, para se unirem a você e o ajudarem quando você e seus filhos ministrarem perante a tenda que guarda as tábuas da aliança.

Faze chegar contigo também teus irmãos, a tribo de Levi, a tribo de teu pai, para que se unam a ti e te sirvam, enquanto tu e teus filhos estiverdes diante da tenda do testemunho.

Os levitas terão de ter cuidado em não tocar em nenhum dos objectos sagrados, nem no altar, se não destruir-vos-ei, a eles e a ti.
