Oséias

For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.

For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.

They shall not dwell in Jehovah's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean food in Assyria.

for their mother hath played the harlot; she that conceived them hath done shamefully; for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.

Ainda que criem os seus filhos, todavia deles os privarei, para que não fique nem um só homem; ai deles quando eu me apartar deles!

E a soberba de Israel testifica contra ele; todavia, não voltam para o Senhor seu Deus, nem o buscam em tudo isso.

Portanto, eis que eu a atrairei, e a levarei para o deserto, e lhe falarei ao coração.

Efraim me cercou de mentiras, a casa de Israel de enganos, e Judá é rebelde contra Deus, a saber, contra o Santo fiel.

Que fareis vós no dia da solenidade, e no dia da festa do Senhor?

Quando eu quiser, castigá-los-ei; os povos se congregarão contra eles, quando forem atados às suas duas transgressões.
